Vertaal - TAMPA, FL -- "It was time for me to go, I knew when I went to the Airport at Lagos that my journey to Africa was over." John Rice had a missionary vision to go to Africa and established a missionary outreach in Liberia. He was once worth more than three and half million dollars but his heart yearned to do the will of God in his life. God directed him to go to Africa."

John Rice spent nine months at the Synagogue Church, Of All Nations he spoke to the Remnant recently in Tampa about the inside of the ministry at the Church in Lagos, Nigeria.

"It was video that was brought to me in Liberia when I was in the struggle of my life. It seemed as if everything we had done was not going to work and as I watched the man of God at The Synagogue Church, Of All Nations the Lord spoke in a small still voice to go see him. He was the man on the video tape, he was a man of God. I realized that the controversy that swirled around this man of God could not compare to what I witnessed at the church. I was invited to be a Junior Prophet in the church and while I was in the church for just about nine months I had a chance to be with the other junior prophets and spend time with the man of God. I was new and the Man of God asked me to go with him to Korea for his second crusade outside of the Synagogue Church. The early outreach in Botswanna was a learning experience for the prophet, it was quiet expensive and Brother Joshua was understanding the price it would cost to do outside ministry from Nigeria. I was so blessed by the prophet when he asked me to go with him to Korea for the crusade. I had just been their for a few months and there were other Junior Prophets who had more experience than I had. I really got to witness the Man of God and be with him. I will tell you this, I don’t care what has been written about him here’s what I learned about him. He is a private man who guards his ministry from religion. He refuses to join those who are in ministry where he ministers in Nigeria. It is his vision to do the will of God as it is written in the scriptures. He cares very much about how the Junior Prophets views the ministry. I know many of the Junior Prophets will preach the exact message that the prophet preaches. Many of them see Brother Joshua as a mentor, and the prophet speaks to them about allowing God to move through them. It is very simple as simple as a child sees it, I have seen some of the greatest miracles and the Junior Prophets who are around this man of God are following him in the ministry that has been done by example before them."

"Each Junior Prophet has a job to do. The Junior Prophets unlike many of the seminaries in the United States do not date and they live in separate quarters. There is a conduct of holiness at the church, the prophet guards that and so do his junior prophets.  The young people who have come here have one objective and that is to serve God and follow what Jesus has displayed in healing ministry. There are no professionals here, there are just young people from all around the world who come here to capture the vision of ministry that has been honored by God here."

"It is a happy place to be when you are in ministry. Brother Joshua is not a complicated man and he reflects the ministry that way. He is a tremendous man of faith who seeks God in prayer and lead his people to do the same thing. You will never hear about the talk of money in the church. People know that it is only right to tithe to ministry here. There are so many creative people in the church. Many craftsmen and women serve God here and you can see them preparing church early in the morning with straw brooms. The one thing that Joshua has that most men of God don’t have is the love of his people. It’s not about money at Synagogue Church but its about people who love their leader so much that they will do what it takes to maintain the church. While most people have to explain over and over about giving, God’s people at Synagogue Church support the ministry without being driven to give. It’s all about the love of the people, when you understand that this man of God started ten years ago with little or nothing then you begin to understand that God has honored the humility of this man and has raised him up for such a time as this. When I heard about the written articles in Charisma and was told about what was written, I couldn’t understand why it was written. Seeing Joshua as he is I don’t know where they got all that information. He is a powerful man of God and he does things in Pentecost that you would never see in any church around the world but believe me everything is covered by the word of God.

He does do spirit writing but he’s not the only one to ever do this. There were several men in Pentecost that did things that cannot even be explained.  This is just a sample of the interview with John Rice who now attends the River Church in Tampa, Florida where Rodney Howard-Browne is pastor.
